00 Library Remodeling — Sample BOQ & Takeoff
Sample files of the SnapCOST outputs shown in the YouTube video “AI Quantity Takeoff — The Actual Deliverables | Public Library BOQ & Takeoff Released”. The project direct construction cost is ₩502,985,411 and the room 104 subtotal is ₩41,426,347 (ratio-converted unit prices). Reading room A lists vinyl cushion sheet 120㎡ and engineered wood flooring 30㎡ (150㎡ total) in the BOQ, with the ceiling at 149㎡. You can download them without signing in and open them in Excel or a PDF viewer. The files themselves are in Korean.
Before you use these samples
- These are not actual construction costs. Unit prices are ratio-converted and must not be used for estimates, contracts or bids.
- Identifying details such as project name, client and location are anonymized (00 Library Remodeling).
- The files are examples that show the document structure and the export workflow.

Sample bill of quantities
Try it with your own project
Send one drawing and its finish specifications, and we will reply with a takeoff and bill of quantities in the same format.
What the documents contain
Bill of quantities (BOQ)
The whole project exported as a single cost document, bound in the following order.
- Cover
- Summary sheet (gapji)
- Cost calculation statement
- Room-by-room summary
- Bill of quantities
- Unit-cost analysis summary
- Unit-cost analysis
- Unit price comparison
- Labor quantity basis
The BOQ format supports up to nine sheets, including the unit-cost analysis summary and unit-cost analysis; both are omitted when no unit-cost analysis is linked. This sample has linked unit-cost analyses, so all nine sheets are included. The public sample files also end with one extra 「도입 문의」 (contact) sheet after these nine (one extra page in the PDF); it is a separate notice and is not part of the line items or amounts.
Quantity takeoff
Evidence showing item quantities and the available drawing and source-document references.
- Floor-level totals
- Room quantities per item
- Per-room takeoff basis (formula, variables, drawing source)
The public sample files end with a 「도입 문의」 (contact) sheet (the last page in the PDF). It is a separate notice and is not part of the quantities or takeoff basis.

Exporting the BOQ and takeoff in SnapCOST (6 steps)
Button names are quoted as they appear in the SnapCOST interface (Korean UI). Exporting requires a signed-in account.
- 1
Open a project
Sign in to SnapCOST and open the project you want to export.
- 2
Go to the BOQ tab
Open the project's 「내역서」 (BOQ) tab. The export buttons appear at the top.
- 3
Click 「내역서 내보내기」 (Export BOQ)
This opens the 「전체 공사비 내역서」 (full project BOQ) dialog. Up to nine parts, from the cover to the labor quantity basis, are bound into one file (the two unit-cost analysis sheets are omitted when none is linked).
- 4
Save as Excel or PDF
Click 「전체 내역서 엑셀」 (full BOQ Excel) or 「전체 내역서 PDF」 (full BOQ PDF) to generate and download the file.
- 5
Save the takeoff
For the whole project, click 「전체 산출서 엑셀」 or 「전체 산출서 PDF」. To choose a scope, click 「산출서 내보내기」 (Export takeoff) to open the takeoff dialog.
- 6
Save a selected scope
In the dialog, click 「현재 범위 엑셀」 / 「현재 범위 PDF」 (current scope), or use the per-room and per-item PDF/Excel buttons. Check 「전체 내역서 일괄 출력」 to export everything instead of the selected scope.
FAQ
Are the amounts in the sample actual construction costs?
No. Unit prices are ratio-converted, so the amounts are not actual construction costs and must not be used for estimates, contracts or bids.
Is 00 Library Remodeling a real project?
It is a sample in which the project name, client, location and other identifying details are anonymized to show the output format.
What is the difference between the BOQ and the takeoff?
The BOQ organizes the construction cost (cover, summary, cost statement, line items, unit-cost analysis and more). The takeoff shows which formula and drawing source each quantity comes from.
Which programs can open the Excel files?
The files are in xlsx format, so any spreadsheet program that opens xlsx files, such as Excel, can open them. PDFs open in a PDF viewer.
Can I export my own project in the same format?
Sign in with a SnapCOST account and use the 「내역서 내보내기」 and 「산출서 내보내기」 buttons in the project's BOQ tab. Without an account, submit a sign-up request and wait for administrator approval.
Why do the BOQ quantity 150㎡ and the CAD area 149.22㎡ differ?
They come from different sources. Reading room A's finishing quantities in the BOQ are vinyl cushion sheet 120㎡ plus engineered wood flooring 30㎡ (150㎡ in total), while the CAD drawing areas sum to 119.975634㎡ + 29.2481㎡ = 149.223734㎡. These are separately derived values and must not be treated as identical; rounding and measurement-basis differences can exist. The BOQ ceiling quantity is 149㎡. The sample takeoff document shows item quantities and the available drawing and source-document references.
What did Jev and the approver each do in the video?
The approver manually assigned the construction category for the 49 items that had not been auto-assigned, bringing the unassigned count to zero; quantities, unit prices and amounts were unchanged. For items where the approver explicitly specified a product — such as the CF28105 cushion sheet — Jev confirmed the match to that explicit specification. Jev did not auto-classify every item from the start, nor did it finalize all missing products; category assignment (approver) and confirming the match to the specified product (Jev) are distinct steps. In this example, the approver specified the product rather than leaving the design color to an arbitrary automatic choice.
How are design changes reflected in the amounts?
When a design change occurs — quantity changes or item substitutions — update the project with the change and export the BOQ and takeoff again to generate updated documents. To see the impact per room, check the room-by-room summary together with the per-item takeoff basis in the takeoff document.
What do 'about 16x' and '1/300th' in the video refer to?
They come from a separate single-query comparison run on 2026-10-03: 24 questions, three runs each, 72 single calls per model. The median response time was 206 ms for Jev versus 3,274.5 ms for GPT (gpt-6-astra) — about a 16x difference. The average recorded cost per call was about $0.0000439 for Jev versus about $0.0136814 for GPT (gpt-6-astra), roughly 1/300th. These figures measure single calls for specific questions only; they are not whole-workflow throughput or accuracy comparisons, and they have not been reconciled against actual billing.
How can I request an adoption consultation?
Tell us the document formats you currently use (Excel, PDF, CAD drawings, etc.) and the tasks you repeat most often, and we will guide you accordingly. Use the consultation link on this page to tell us about your current documents and repeated tasks.
